There's no sheeple like show people
Some of my own reflections on the Oscars:
  1. Charlize Theron forgot to thank fifty-plus years of apartheid (I am very suspicious of her nationalism as she has obscured the realities of boers in South Africa, and I nearly fell on my ass when she mentioned South Africa in her acceptance.)

  2. The best moment was "Kiss at the end of the rainbow" (with kudos to Blake Edwards and Adrien Brody). Eugen Levy is cool, and the song should have won, but was left in the cold by ...

  3. The song from Return of the King, which along with Best Music and Best Adapted Screenplay, I would consider the most gratuitous wins. Was it like: I'm gonna check every box with LOTR? And how many wicans worked on the film? (Not that I hate the screenplay, I just hated the adaptation).

  4. How many reaction shots were there of Nicole Kidman with Sean Connery in the background?

  5. It is great that Errol Morris won, not so much for the film, but because many saw his previous film about Fred Leuchter as denial of the Holocaust.

  6. I am not a fan, but Liv Tyler (when wearing her glasses) was the best dressed. (I also like Keisha Castle-Hughes).
